# Deleting Your Account

How to permanently delete your Fabric account and data

## Before You Delete

Consider these before deleting:

**Withdraw earnings:** Request any pending payouts  
**Unenroll devices:** Remove all enrolled devices  
**Cancel subscription:** Stop recurring billing  
**Download data:** Export any data you need

**Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.**

## Requesting Account Deletion

Currently, account deletion requires contacting support:

Email support@fabric.carmel.so  
Subject: "Account Deletion Request"  
Include your registered email address  
We will verify your identity  
Account deleted within 30 days

## What Gets Deleted

**Permanently removed:**

- Your user account
- All enrolled devices
- Job history
- Custom workloads
- AI Assistants
- API keys
- Subscription and billing data

**Retained (anonymized):**

- Aggregated platform statistics
- Transaction records (required for accounting)
- Logs may be retained temporarily for security

## Earnings and Payouts

**Before deletion:**

- Request payout of any remaining balance
- Minimum threshold ($10) still applies

**After deletion:**

- Unpaid balance under threshold may be forfeited
- No new payouts can be processed
- Stripe Connect account remains (managed separately)

To delete Stripe data, contact Stripe directly.

## Active Subscriptions

Active subscriptions are cancelled when you delete your account:

- No further charges after deletion
- No refund for unused portion of current period
- Cancel subscription first if you want to use remaining time

## Devices

Before deletion:

Open Fabric Agent on each device  
Go to Settings and Unenroll  
Uninstall the agent

If you delete without unenrolling:

- Devices will stop working automatically
- They will not receive jobs
- You can uninstall locally anytime

## AI Assistants

Your AI Assistants are deleted:

- Widgets stop working
- Knowledge bases are removed
- Query history is deleted

If you have active widgets on websites, remove the embed code to avoid errors.

## Data Export

Before deleting, you may want to export:

Log in to fabric.carmel.so  
Go to Settings then Data  
Click "Export My Data"  
Download the export file

Export includes:

- Account information
- Device list
- Job history
- Earnings history
- AI Assistant configurations

## Re-registration

After deletion, you can create a new account with the same email. However:

- No data is recovered
- Start fresh with new account
- Previous earnings/history are gone

---

## Processing Time

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days:

- Verification: 1-3 business days
- Data removal: Up to 30 days
- Confirmation email sent when complete

---

## Legal Requirements

Some data may be retained as required by law:

- Financial transaction records
- Tax documentation
- Fraud prevention data

This data is kept only as legally required and is not used for other purposes.
