# Creating Your Account

Sign up with Google or email to get started

## Sign Up Options

You can create a Fabric account using:

**Google Sign-In** (recommended)

**Email and Password**

## Creating an Account via Google

Go to fabric.carmel.so  
Click "Sign In" or "Get Started"  
Click "Continue with Google"  
Select your Google account  
Grant the requested permissions  
You are signed in!  
Your account is automatically created using your Google email.

## Creating an Account via Email

Go to fabric.carmel.so  
Click "Sign In" or "Get Started"  
Click "Sign up with email"  
Enter your email address  
Create a password (minimum 8 characters)  
Click "Sign Up"  
Check your email for a verification link  
Click the link to verify your account  
You are ready to go!

## Email Verification

If you signed up with email, you must verify your email address before using Fabric.

**Did not receive the email?**

- Check your spam/junk folder
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Click "Resend verification email" on the login page

## Signing In on the Desktop Agent

When you open the Fabric Agent desktop app:

Click "Sign In"  
Your default browser opens  
Sign in with Google or email (same as web)  
The browser shows "Authentication successful"  
Return to the desktop app - you are now signed in  
The desktop app uses secure browser-based authentication. Your credentials are never stored in the app itself.

## Account Recovery

**Forgot your password?**

Go to the login page  
Click "Forgot password?"  
Enter your email address  
Check your email for a reset link  
Click the link and set a new password

**Cannot access your email?**

## Account Security

**Recommendations:**

- Use a strong, unique password
- Enable two-factor authentication (coming soon)
- Do not share your account credentials
- Sign out from shared computers
