Updating the Fabric Agent

The agent updates automatically to ensure you have the latest features

Automatic Updates

The agent handles updates automatically:

• Updates are downloaded in the background
• Applied without interrupting your device
• No action required from you

You don't need to manually check for updates or download new versions.

When Updates Happen

Updates are applied:

• When the agent restarts
• During idle periods between jobs
• After major releases (we'll notify you via email if action is needed)

Your settings and enrollment are always preserved.

Version Information

In the app:

• Open Fabric Agent
• Go to Settings
• Version is shown at the bottom

On the web:

Your agent version is visible in the dashboard under your device details.

Troubleshooting

If you're experiencing issues and think an update might help:

• Restart the Fabric Agent app
• Check your internet connection
• Wait a few minutes for updates to apply
