# Uninstalling the Fabric Agent

How to remove the Fabric Agent from your device

## Before Uninstalling

**Recommended steps:**

Open the Fabric Agent  
Go to Settings  
Click "Unenroll" to remove your device from the network  
Request any pending payouts before uninstalling  
Unenrolling ensures your device is properly removed from the network.

## macOS

Open Fabric Agent  
Go to Settings  
Click "Unenroll Node"  
Close the app  
Drag `FabricAgent.app` from Applications to Trash  
The agent automatically cleans up all associated files.

## Windows

Open Fabric Agent  
Go to Settings → Unenroll  
Close the app  
Open Windows Settings → Apps  
Find "Fabric Agent"  
Click Uninstall  
The uninstaller removes all agent files and services.

## Linux

Stop the agent:
```
   sudo systemctl stop fabric-agent
```

Disable auto-start:
```
   sudo systemctl disable fabric-agent
```

Remove the binary and config:
```
   rm ~/FabricAgentDaemon
   rm -rf ~/.fabric
```

## Your Account

Uninstalling the agent doesn't delete your Fabric account.

Your account retains:
- Earnings history
- Pending balance
- Payout history
- Enrolled device history

You can reinstall and re-enroll anytime.

## Reinstalling Later

If you want to use Fabric again:

Log in to your dashboard at fabric.carmel.so  
Download the agent  
Install and sign in with your existing account  
Enroll your device  
Your earnings history is preserved.
