Referral Program Terms and Conditions

Full terms and conditions governing the Fabric Referral Program

1. Program Overview

The Fabric Referral Program ("Program") allows eligible participants ("Referrers") to earn referral bonuses by inviting new users ("Referred Users") to join the Fabric distributed compute network.

2. Eligibility

To Become a Referrer:

  • Must have an active Fabric contributor account
  • Must have at least one device enrolled and active on the network
  • Must be in good standing (no violations of Fabric Terms of Service)

For Referred Users:

  • Must be a new user who has never had a Fabric account
  • Must sign up using a valid referral code or link
  • Must enroll at least one device that remains active for the minimum qualifying period

3. Referral Bonus

Current Bonus Amount: $2.00 USD per successful referral (subject to change with notice)

When the Bonus is Credited:

The referral bonus is credited to the Referrer's pending balance when:

  • The Referred User enrolls their first device, AND
  • The device remains enrolled and active for a minimum of 7 consecutive days ("Qualifying Period")

When the Bonus is Forfeited:

The referral bonus will NOT be credited if:

  • The Referred User unenrolls their device before the 7-day Qualifying Period ends
  • The Referred User's account is suspended or terminated for any reason
  • The referral is determined to be fraudulent (see Section 5)

4. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification from the Program, forfeiture of bonuses, and/or account termination:

  • Self-Referral: Creating multiple accounts to refer yourself or using alternate email addresses to create referred accounts you control.
  • Fraudulent Referrals: Paying or incentivizing people solely to sign up without genuine intent to use Fabric, creating fake accounts or using bots to generate referrals, or manipulating the referral process through any automated means.
  • Collusion: Coordinating with others to exploit the referral program, or "referral rings" where groups of users refer each other in circles.
  • Device Fraud: Enrolling devices with no genuine intent to contribute compute, using virtualized or spoofed device identifiers, or temporarily enrolling devices just to trigger referral bonuses.

5. Fraud Detection and Clawback

Monitoring

Fabric monitors referral activity for suspicious patterns including:

  • Referred users who unenroll shortly after enrollment
  • Unusual enrollment patterns from the same IP addresses
  • Devices that never complete any jobs
  • Multiple accounts linked to the same payment methods or personal information

Clawback Rights

Fabric reserves the right to:

  • Withhold referral bonuses pending fraud investigation
  • Reverse or clawback bonuses that were credited for fraudulent referrals
  • Deduct clawback amounts from pending balances or future earnings

Account Actions

Violations may result in:

  • Temporary or permanent disqualification from the referral program
  • Forfeiture of all pending referral bonuses
  • Account suspension or termination
  • Legal action in cases of serious fraud

6. Bonus Withdrawal

  • Referral bonuses are added to your regular pending balance
  • Withdrawals follow the same process as job earnings
  • Minimum withdrawal amount: $10.00 USD
  • Withdrawals are processed via Stripe Connect to your linked bank account

7. Program Changes

Fabric reserves the right to:

  • Modify the bonus amount with reasonable notice
  • Change eligibility requirements
  • Modify or terminate the Program at any time
  • Update these terms and conditions

Changes will be communicated via email notification, updates to this document, and announcements in the Fabric dashboard.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Referral bonuses are provided at Fabric's discretion
  • Fabric is not liable for any losses due to program changes or termination
  • Technical issues that prevent bonus crediting do not guarantee bonus payment
  • Fabric's determination of fraud is final

9. General Terms

  • This Program is void where prohibited by law
  • Referrers are responsible for any tax obligations on referral earnings
  • By participating, you agree to these terms and the Fabric Terms of Service
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA
