# Managing Multiple Devices

Enroll and manage several devices on your Fabric account.

## Overview

You can enroll multiple devices under one Fabric account. Each device:

- Has its own device ID
- Earns independently
- Can be managed separately
- Contributes to your total earnings

---

## Adding Another Device

1. Download the Fabric Agent on the new device.
2. Install and launch the app.
3. Sign in with your **existing** Fabric account.
4. Click "Enroll Node."
5. The new device appears in your dashboard.

**Same account = combined earnings.**

---

## Viewing All Devices

1. Log in to fabric.carmel.so.
2. Go to Dashboard → Devices (or Nodes).
3. See all enrolled devices.

**For each device:**
- Name/identifier
- Status (online/offline)
- Last seen
- Hardware specs
- Earnings

---

## Device Identification

Each device gets a unique ID based on hardware characteristics. Devices are displayed with:
- **Device name:** OS-assigned computer name
- **Hardware:** CPU, RAM, GPU info
- **Node ID:** Anonymized identifier (what enterprises see)

---

## Earnings Per Device

Track which devices earn most:
1. Go to Dashboard.
2. View earnings breakdown by device.
3. See job counts per device.

Useful for:
- Identifying top performers
- Deciding which devices to keep online
- Understanding ROI

---

## Managing Individual Devices

From the web dashboard, you can:

**View details:**
- Hardware specifications
- Job history
- Performance metrics

**Remove device:**
- Unenroll remotely (device goes offline).
- Or unenroll locally from the device's agent.

---

## Optimal Setup

### For Maximum Earnings
- Keep devices online 24/7.
- Use daemon/service for auto-start.
- Ensure stable internet.
- Prevent sleep mode.

### Hardware Diversity

Different devices excel at different workloads:
- **GPUs:** ML inference, training.
- **High RAM:** Large datasets.
- **Fast CPU:** Data processing.

Mix of hardware = more workload eligibility.

---

## Bandwidth Considerations

Multiple devices share your network:
- Initial model downloads can be large.
- Job data transfer is typically small.
- Once models are cached, bandwidth is minimal.

If bandwidth is limited, stagger device enrollment.

---

## Same Device, Multiple Users

**Not recommended.** Each device should be enrolled to one account.

If you need to switch accounts:
1. Unenroll from current account.
2. Sign out.
3. Sign in with new account.
4. Re-enroll.

---
